We introduce ski resorts in Hirugano Kougen.

Besides being famous for good quality of milk and its products, also white radish as the product of agriculture, Hirugano Kougen is also famous for its snow. The snow that covers not only offers the beautiful panorama, but also makes Hirugano Kougen to be "The Biggest Snow Resort of Central Japan" .

Access is convenient by car (Hirugano Kougen SA Smart IC or Takasu IC), but for those who want to come by public transportation, there is no need to worry. From Gifu Bus Terminal or Nagoya there are buses that run directly to Hirugano Kogen Service Area. After that, you can use free shuttle bus that is ready to take you from Hirugano Kogen Service Area to various ski areas.

1. Hirugano Kougen Ski Resort

The first ski resort to be talked about is Hirugano Kougen Ski Resort. This area is famous because their ski trails which are suitable for beginners. If you want to see beautiful view of combination between the residents houses and panorama of
Mt. Dainichigatake covered in snow, this is the place. Also you can try various delicious menus at restaurant or enjoy sweets at desert shops. There is also "Hirugano Kids Land", an area where children can play.

2. Washigatake Ski Resort

The ski resort which has just celebrated their 50th anniversary. They not only have ski area for adults, but also for children. There are about 13 ski trails that you can try. Beside having delicious meals at their restaurant facilities, you can also relax your body at their hot spring, Washi no Yu. For those who want to stay, there is Washigatake Kogen Hotel Rainbow near the ski area.

3. WhitePia Takasu

This ski area offers stunning views of Mt. Hakusan from the peak. If you just want to enjoy the view from peak without skiing or snowboarding, “Outlook Snow Trekking” course is available. The ticket for that course included the round trip ticket for chairlift. Also you can find various restaurants, shops, hotel and hot spring.

4. Dynaland

You can see fireworks festival at night in some days here during the open period. If you want to challenge yourself in skiing or snowboarding, try their tree run area which is a trail with lots of trees. There is also a children's play area.

5. Takasu Snow Park

You can play in this ski resort not only in winter but also in spring. Besides being able to ski on various trails, Takasu Snow Park also offers the experience of enjoying meals while looking at the panoramic view from the peak at Takasu Terrace. Kids can try to ride the snowmobile at snowmobile land by theirself. The snowmobile land only open on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.

6. Gujo Vacance Village Ski Resort

This ski area is more private because it is directly connected to the Gujo Vacance Village Hotel. But don't worry, their ski and snow board area are still open to public, so anyone can enter here. The ski trails that they have are not difficult and suitable for beginners or those who want to ski and snowboard with their family.
